ASO - App Store Optimization

- rank app as high as possible in App Store
- identify what users search and get them to find

you first
- Analyze and identify organic opportunities
- get more downloads

App Store Variables

Different Algorithms
Different Values
Different Apps
Updates and Competition
External Factors

"Best Traffic - search traffic (organic traffic)"

ASO

- not SEO for Apps
- Copy best practices

Different types of rankings and ways to optimize apps in different markets.

Top Free/Paid Apps:

This is a list of apps based on their cost. Everyone loves to be in this “Holy Grail” of rankings.
The list is generated by adding the number of downloads of each app in a specific time frame and
ranking them in descending order

Top Free/Paid Apps in Your Particular Category:

This is the list of the most popular apps within a specific category that have been downloaded the
most often.

This is the ranking you need to focus on to beat the competition. Most of your potential users will
pay attention to this ranking before they decide to download your app.

That’s why making the wrong “category” decision can mean the difference between being in the
top ranking or not.

In reality, this is our most realistic target, to appear in the top 100 ranking in your category.

Top Grossing Apps:

This is a list of apps that have generated the most revenue. If you aren’t in the big leagues yet,
this won’t be of much use to you.
If you’re successful, you’ll appear on this list, hopefully while enjoying a Mojito in Jamaica enjoying

your luck and revenue on your holidays.
For the “normal app developers” out there, the likelihood of reaching the top grossing apps is very
unlikely.

Mobile App Platforms

Apple App Store.

Android Market.

Blackberry App World.

Samsung Apps Stores.

GetJar

Nokia Store.

And more.

ASO Ranking Factors

Title

Developer Name

Keywords

Reviews

Downloads

Description (Google Play)

Editorial Highlight

ASO Optimization Factors - Things to optimize

Icons

Screenshots

Reviews

Speed / Bugs

Description (Copy)

Demos - Videos

ASO Ranking Factors + ASO Optimization Factors = Click/Downloads

ASO Process

Keyword Research > Optimize Keywords> Optimize App
Optimize App Page> Optimize SEO - Site> Wait - Test - Improve - Compare

(ASO) App Store Optimization

If your business is into

App Stores

Mobile Apps

Google Apps for Business

Traffic Master Services

¿Want app downloads?

App Store For Free

Then ASO is vital to your business as it will promote your business in order for you to succeed
